You will build new products & features within an Agile environment using high quality code. You will work on multiple greenfield projects across the full SDLC software development life cycle from working with Product Managers at the analysis stage to product design, and delivery, all within a sophisticated cloud environment with a team of highly skilled technologists.

There is an R&D element to the Principal Engineer job which will give you variety, the ability to work with new tech, methodologies and learn new technologies. Additionally you will coach and help the engineering team to enhance their development ability.

The Principal Engineer job will be an excellent career move for you, as aside from new projects and technologies, you will work remotely with the flexibility to declare your own work hours. The office is based in Dublin, but you can be based anywhere in Ireland for remote work.

Key Skills & work experience for the Principal Engineer Job in Dublin Ireland

- Proven experience as a hands-on Principal Engineer or have the ability to  step up now to Principal Engineer level and hit the ground running.

- Very strong full stack engineering experience.

- Strong experience with Java or other Object Oriented programming languages. It’s a bonus if you’re a polyglot. 

- A believer in Clean Code.

- Excellent modern Javascript ES6 which is required for UI projects

- MVC framework

- Useful if you have Open Source contributions.

- You will be able to come up with solutions of excellence to problems.

- Agile environment, TDD, CI experience.

- Top class communication ability.

- Fintech or insurance experience is a bonus.

- It’s a bonus if you have knowledge of the Salesforce Lightning platform.
